To book your stay at Quinta da Luz, please follow these steps:

Registration

Wishing to stay at the Quinta, then please fill in and submit the Accommodation Booking Form. We recommend at least three days to gain the full benefit of your stay here.

Whenever possible we use in our meals only fruit, nuts and vegetables from the Quinta. Otherwise we seek local produce. We extend a welcome to all our guests to join us at our evening meal.

Please bring your own bottle of wine if you wish to enjoy an evening drink. We offer a vegan choice as well as allergy free meals – just let us know when booking.

Wish to include days before and after a ceremony or event so you are able to explore the area or just enjoying the peace and calm of the Quinta? Then fill in and submit an Event/Course Booking Form.

Payment should be made before arrival, details for making payment can be found through the Payment link. We will confirm availability and your booking by email once your Booking has been received. Please confirm your arrival some days ahead by telephone or email and clarify any possible questions you may have. Please do not bring animals with you.

Accommodation – Is available in the Quinta on a first booked basis, apart from the Winter it is also possible to pitch a tent in the Quinta grounds.

For Your Stay Choose Your Room From…

The Oliveira bedroom is en-suite with a king size double bed. The Estrela bedroom has two singles and the Zen bedroom one single bed All three rooms are along a private corridor on the ground floor. The Lajes and Serra bedrooms are en-suite and situated on the upper floor looking out respectively to the East and South East at the peak of Serra da Estrela itself.

The Price Includes…

Quest access – You will be able to access the living room where we enjoy breakfast when not taken outside. In the tower we have our library where guests may sit and read books during their stay. There is a seating area leading to three of the guest bedrooms and kitchen, used more in winter when its wood burner is alight!

There is a garden room used for retreat and therapy work, yoga, meditation and events, or perhaps even your sketching and photography. It is a converted agricultural building heated by a wood burner.

On the Easterly wall is a barbecue and basin, together with entrance to the cloakroom. All are available to guests.

The three day all inclusive charge, including wi fi access, is €169 per person for three nights; €345 for seven nights. Wish to stay longer, a double room for four weeks is €465, excluding meals. To confirm availability, email Caroline.

Full board for the nights before, during and after one of our events – €250 per person for five nights. A tent can be pitched at a charge of €59 for three nights, including use of the outside cloakroom and internal bathroom. To make a booking please fill in and submit an Accommodation Booking Form. We will confirm your booking via email.

Should you wish to make use of our washing machine, then a charge of €5.00 per load is made – usually everything is dry the same day!

Sustainability

All the energy used at the Quinta comes from solar panels, water is from one of its wells. The water used is cleaned in a reed bed and put back onto the land. As it is a living system we provide bio degradable soaps and shampoos as chemical petroleum based products will harm the microbial life. Rainwater is collected from the roof of the Casa and collected in a 100,000 litre tank for irrigation. It is gravity fed down to the lower terraces.
